1. Introduction & Service Scope
1.1: Ride Express provides a means to discover and connect people travelling on
the same route and at the same time, as per individual preference. The objective is to reduce
commute costs for travelers and at the same time provide a substantial wage to the drivers.
1.2: Ride Express offers both AC and Non-AC type services to users in Cars. We
do not offer services in Boxed Vans or Hi-roofs.
1.3: This Agreement is valid only in the jurisdiction of Karachi for now.
2. Subscription & Payment
2.1: The subscription is for the whole month, irrespective of the user availing
the service on any given day. Service will be automatically renewed each month on the basis of
advance payment received before the start of each month.
2.2: Ride Express strictly prohibits any cash dealing with the driver. No user
is allowed to pay anything in cash to the drivers assigned.
2.3: Pricing is done based on the plans communicated to users and supply
partners. Any change in pricing or plan will be communicated to users and supply partners with a
15-day notice period.
3. Confidentiality
3.1: Ride Express and its supply partners mutually agree on and settle
outstanding payments on a monthly basis. The supply partners have no knowledge of how much the
user pays to Ride Express for the carpooling service, and users should not have any knowledge of
how much the driver or supply partners receive from Ride Express. This is a confidentiality
clause and it must be protected at all times. In case of failure, Ride Express reserves the
right to discontinue the service of either the user or the supply partner with immediate effect.
4. Rights of Admission Reserved
4.1: Ride Express reserves the right to accept or reject any user or supply
partner to the platform. Ride Express also reserves the right to discontinue the service with
immediate effect in case of a breach of contract initiated by any user or supply partner. In
case the contract has not been breached, Ride Express reserves the right to discontinue the
service with a user or supply partner with a 15-day notice period.
5. Safety Measures
5.1: Ride Express will share the following details before the start of the first
trip: Name of the car driver or supply partner, Contact Information, Car Make, Color, and
license plate of the vehicle.
5.2: Company representatives are available throughout your journey for ensuring
safe travel and consistent pick and drop on a daily basis.
5.3: The company can change the vehicle, carpool group, and the driver by giving
prior notice to the user to ensure less travel time and efficient carpooling with quality
people.
5.4: If the driver is absent on any given day, Ride Express provides an instant
backup ride without charging any extra amount.
5.5: If any driver attempts to offer a personalized service to Ride Express
users, the same must be brought to Ride Express's attention immediately.
5.6: If any user finds any driver unprofessional, rude, or unsafe to commute
with, users are subjected to report the same to the Ride Express team so a replacement can be
found immediately.
6. Charges & Refund Policy
6.1: Ride Express offers only a flat monthly subscription for the service, which
means all off-days, gazetted holidays, or any other unannounced unforeseen holidays and strikes
will be covered in the same monthly payments without any waiver.
6.2: Ride Express always arranges a backup in case of a driver's absence. A user
can apply for a refund in case the assigned driver was supposed to show up for the pickup but
failed to do so. In such cases, customers are required to inform Ride Express of such an event
the same day via WhatsApp (0305-5169995); otherwise, refund requests will not be entertained.
6.3: Ride Express will only adjust the amount of the trip missed according to
the user's monthly subscription package.
6.4: A no-show by the user at the designated pick-up time will be considered a
cancelled booking from the user. In such a case, no refund requests will be entertained.
6.5: No refund requests will be entertained in case the failure of the pickup
job was induced by the user or in case the user cancelled the assigned booking.
6.6: No refund requests will be entertained in case of last-minute or
unanticipated ad-hoc changes by the user in pick-up time or pick-up location.
6.7: Ride Express provides service for 5 days a week only. If any user opts for
6 days a week, the user has to pay for an extra day's payment for Saturday, as mutually agreed.
7. Discontinuation of Service or Changes in Plans
7.1: Any user can discontinue the service by informing the company’s management
7 days in advance.
7.2: In case a user wishes to change the timings, pick-up locations, or plan
offered, the user will be required to inform the Ride Express team 7 days in advance so that
such requests can be entertained.
8. Legal Jurisdiction
8.1: Breach of contract or default in payment gives Ride Express the exclusive
right to pursue legal proceedings against the user in question within the jurisdiction of
Karachi.
